Lohengrin
Following the successful festival, visitors to Villa Schöningen will have the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of Rosa Loy and Neo Rauch’s stage design. In addition to impressive costumes, parts of the elaborately produced stage design will also be on display, including light installations and animations that can be experienced with virtual reality glasses. In addition to elements of the finished stage design that was on stage during the festival, visitors will gain insights into the development of Rosa Loy and Neo Rauch’s stage design from the initial ideas to the final implementation. Models of various stages of the creative process, right up to the final implementation, will bring the entire creative process to life.
A model of the Bayreuth stage allows visitors to get a sense of the dimensions of the world stage. Numerous sketches and works by the artists are also on display, illustrating the creative phases from the initial draft to the final costume design. The exhibition raises questions about the interplay of the arts, the role of the artist as a stage designer, and the technical implementation of Rosa Loy and Neo Rauch’s ideas.
