Andy Warhol: Early Works

The early works of Andy Warhol are presented by Villa Schöningen in collaboration with the Stiftung für Kunst und Kultur e.V. Bonn in their spring exhibition. From May 3 to July 24, 2011, drawings, collages, and serigraphs from the Marx collection and other private collectors will be on display. Curators Aeneas and Heiner Bastian have assembled works that primarily focus on the 1950s. They are complemented by famous subjects such as the “Campbell’s Soupcans,” “Marilyn Monroe,” or the “Flowers.”

Fabric. Textile and the female nude II

Current exhibition

The exhibition “Fabric. Textile and the Female Nude II” continues the dialogue between art, body and fabric. Works by Afifa Aleiby, Anna Grath, Anne-Mie van Kerckhoven, and others interact with works from the first part of the exhibition.

The purposeful alternation of individual works creates an interplay of artistic positions that illuminates the representation of the female nude from both a historical and contemporary perspective.
